The Gatehouse Self Catering was completely re-built in 1998.

Our business caters for tourists from Ireland, UK and Mainland Europe as well as the United States and other International visitors.

We aim to cater towards visitors and tourists wishing to visit the east midlands and surrounding areas, e.g. Athlone, Roscommon (20 mins), Longford, Galway (1 hour) and Sligo.  Knock Airport is only 45 mins away.

We have one 4-bedroomed house which is rented year round on a Self Catering Accommodation basis.  It is situated on its own grounds, with a very large garden, all mod cons, private mooring area onto Lough Ree and free boat access is offered if visitors so wish.  An engine for the boat can be provided on request.  Ample car parking space is provided along with a large onsite private garage.

Dogs are accepted on the premises, and so visitors can bring their family pets with them if they so wish.

The Gatehouse is situated within easy walking distance of Lanesborough town and the River Shannon and Lough Ree.

Visitors can enjoy a relaxing holiday in the private and wooded setting of the house, they can go fishing, boating, canoeing, rowing, walking, picnics, etc.
